Canada permits foreign students to work off-campus for an unlimited number of hours.
When you add up the cost of tuition, books, rent, food, and transportation, many
international students find that they need to work part-time while they are in
school to pay for the things they need.
Students from other countries who come to Canada on a student visa can work
without having to get a work permit. During a semester, students can work off
campus as long as they are signed up to go back to school the following
semester. During academic breaks, like the winter holidays or the summer, a

hours per week, from November 15, post-secondary international students will
be able to work as much as they like. The temporary measure will be in place
until December 31, 2023.
Since there are already more than 500,000 international students in Canada, this
the decision will help the job market right away.
